The MOVINGCOMPANY presents OUT OF THE PAN INTO THE FIRE, a new work by Steve Epp, Nathan Keepers and Dominique Serrand. Performed by Christina Baldwin, Steve Epp, Nathan Keepers and Sam Kruger. Directed by Dominique Serrand.
It's a fairytale, but not one you've ever read before. It takes place in the days when wishing was still of some use, and also right now. A lot of stuff happens, like growing up, as in Out of the Pan Into the Fire. It's pretty damn funny, a little naive, and then it gets scary, a bit grotesque. Grimm, you might say, and kind of brutal, painful, like it makes your heart hurt a little. There isn't exactly a happy ending, but then nothing is exactly the way you might expect. It's OUT OF THE PAN INTO THE FIRE.
